Dennis Lennox recently ran against a 2 term incumbent Democrat and won his campaign. He was elected as the Cheboygan, Michigan Drain Commissioner. What was his platform? He wanted to eliminate the job altogether.
Michigan law mandates that counties, such as Cheboygan, that have over 12,000 people must have a drain commissioner. The only problem is that Cheboygan doesn’t have any drains to regulate.
